TALLAHASSEE — Tonight, Senator Rick Scott spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.  

In response, Scott Watch Communications Director Anders Croy released the following statement:

“Tonight all of America saw the true Senator Rick Scott that his constituents know all too well: an extreme and out-of-touch politician who has no problem using lies and baseless attacks to advance his own reckless agenda at the expense of workers and seniors in our state.

“While Floridians are looking for solutions from their elected leaders on how to raise wages, lower costs, and protect our fundamental freedoms, Rick Scott is solely focused on promoting the Project 2025 takeover of our government that will raise taxes on the middle class while giving tax breaks to corporate polluters and insurance companies, break the promise of a secure retirement for workers and seniors, and ban abortion for patients in need of care.

“As Rick Scott continues to try to divide us in order to accomplish his real goals of advancing his own political ambitions and helping his wealthy corporate donors, the people of Florida should hold him accountable for his long record of failing to solve the real issues he was elected to address.”
