We’re looking for a Research Associate with a strong interest in understanding Florida’s communities, voters, and public opinion. This is an entry-level, full-time remote role for candidates based in Florida, expected to start in May or June 2026 and run through December 2026 as part of the 2026 election cycle. A college degree or traditional political experience is not required. If you’re someone who works hard, learns fast, and pays close attention to the details, we want to hear from you.
About Florida Watch:
The Florida Communications and Research Hub, a joint partnership of Progress Florida and Florida Watch, serves as the progressive community’s core in-state coordinating entity for research, communications, digital, and messaging strategy that resonates with everyday Floridians. In this role, you’ll work with our research and polling team to help conduct public opinion research projects that inform progressive advocacy and electoral campaigns across Florida. This role reports directly to the Director of Research and Polling for Florida Watch and the Florida Communications and Research Hub.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assisting with polling and survey research
- Supporting ad and message testing
- Helping organize and analyze focus groups
- Writing memos, summaries, and research decks
- Reviewing and proofing research materials
- Supporting other research and communications projects as needed

- Comfort working with numbers and data
- Ability to write clearly and organize information
- Curiosity about how people think and what’s happening in Florida
- Ability to learn new tools and skills quickly

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates based in Florida and is an election-cycle role running through December 2026.
The starting salary for this role is $50,000 per year.
